How long should a roof actually last?
A properly installed GAF architectural roof, with correct ventilation and code-required accessories, should give you 25 years in the Nashville climate. The Nashville average is closer to 12–15 years because of shortcut installs, not shingle quality. The shingle isn't the weak link — the install is.
